WAM mac systems at Univerisity of Maryland, College Park (A quick hack)

Ok here we go. ;) If you happen to be outside or have maybe even suffered through the fucking "flagship university" of MD, try this hack, grab a few passwds and go for a spin.
Background to the hack
It took me maybe half an hour at most to figure this out. The new G3 stations set up in a few of the labs (good example where to try this: worcester) have this shitty program called Assimilator 2.01. Whoa, back up a min- they all have what looks to be 2 hard drives (one locked- "Boot" and one unlocked- "G3 Return to Menu") and a "Fileserver" (an appleshare disk w all the major programs you run) Boot is just a small-ass drive with the basic os 8.1 on it. G3 Return is the main drive that has like 4 gigs so that people can put crap on the computer they want- apps, extensions, prefs or other assorted shit- but only as temps.
That's because every time the computer restarts, the Boot drive loads, runs Assimliator, reboots, and then reloads the G3 Return to Menu drive. Soooo... you say? Well, you normally can't do jack because anything you install on the G3 drive gets trashed by Assimliator. That's right- the bitch program trashes all the shit you did, downloads some default crap off the server- basically fucking you over. (damn i don't know how many times i downloaded quake to play on these kickass machines, only later to find this fucking program trashed everything. I could take it out of the trash- but then some damn admin would eventually empty it, and i'd have to start the fuck over :\ ) I guess you could still run a virus on these crappers and it would actually work- thought i might even do that to vent some steam. But in general that's pretty lame. I really wanted a way to install a key knabbing extension (hehehe)
Fucking over WAM (the hack)
Ok this is the good part. You only need to do two things to have the computer restart without the assimliator bullshit.
1) Go into the Boot drive, System Folder, Control Panels. Change the Startup Disk to G3 Return to Menu (duh- we don't want the damn Boot drive to load) In case you were wondering, the actual assimilator program is on this drive's Startup Items- in worcestor it was renamed "Wor". (look at it's info if you don't believe me ;P )
2) Go into your existing System Folder (the G3 drive) and then Extensions. Drag the extension "settoboot-g3" into Exten Disabled or the trash. That's how those bastards were getting the thing to revert back to the Boot drive- hehehe ;) If you're lazy just use extensions manager.
That's it! you don't even have to hold down shift or anything to kill assim. Also, anything you now do to this computer will be saved (just don't be a dumbass and put all kinds of crap on the desktop so that admins will figure u out.) Basically if you hide it well you now have a free computer you can use for whatever you want. Some good shit to try: keystroke recorders (make sure that you make them visible- os 8.1 won't boot an invisable extension) Hell i got three passwords on the first day- stupid people are almost always checking their email on these things, plus you can grab their aol instant message accounts or even their logins to hotmail/yahoo/terp online or whatever uknowwhutimsayin?? ;) After you get their wam accounts you can just read their email or you might change around folders, hack their web page, put up a virus they unknowing download, change their pass and lock them out completely to have a free email/web page or whatever the hell you want. Ain't it kinda nice to know that if you are using someone else's account and you pull some shit that they will take the blame? ;D
